CORE – Christians Organized for Relief Efforts was established in 2005 by two churches from Houston, Texas to assist in meeting the needs of people hit by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast area. Gateway Community Church and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (both located in the Clear Lake area of Houston) partnered together to provide resources to establish a Base Camp for volunteers to go out into the community to help clean up and rebuild the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They are back and helping in the recovery of Hurricane Ike.

Gloria Dei and Generation ONE...Serving in the 3rd ward of Houston..
Third Saturday in the Third Ward Join the team serving on the Third Saturday of the month in the Third Ward. Partnering with Generation One a non-denominational ministry committed to the spiritual growth and physical rebuilding of the Third Ward area, we work to improve the quality of life for residents in the Third Ward through repairing existing homes, one at a time.
